The idea of this designation is to get us all thinking about how modern life and the way we live impacts on the environment – specifically on our water.

When Was National Water Quality Month Started?

National Water Quality Month has been around since the early 2000s – but has gained more prominence in recent years, with the media spotlight being trained on huge news stories relating to drinking water, such as Flint, Michigan.

Where Does My Water Come From?

It’s really worth learning more about the contents of your water supply.

Unless you have a private well, your drinking water usually comes from a treatment plant that draws its water from nearby lakes, rivers, and groundwater.

    1. Hi, Jasmine. You can, but for best results, please use pre-filters that are meant for hard water areas. How many you need depends on the quality of your well water.
